A Study on the Senior Employment Promotion Project that has an Influence on the Mental Health of Participants

Abstract
This study analyzes the influence that the Senior Employment Promotion Project has on the mental health of the participants, and based on the results, it provides policy implications for those seniors creating job initiatives to promote mental health. Seniors aged 60 and above participated in the Senior Employment Project organized by the Community Service Center, Senior Center, Community Senior Club and Employment Service Center in Seoul and Busan. 995 questionnaires were collected out of which 948 were used for the research. The results of this study are summarized as follows: First, the study shows that many sub variables influencing the mental health of participants among different demographic and social aspects, is their health condition. Second, the Multi Regression analysis found that the important variables in determining the mental health of participants were health condition, job type, job period and job satisfaction.
